UPEE：可以简单地介绍一下你们吗，包括乐队的各位成员以及你们是如何聚到一起组成 HEAD DENT 的？从乐队早期的 HEAVE 到如今的 HEAD DENT，你们是如何想到使用这样一个乐队名字的？
HEAD DENT：大家好，我们是 HEAD DENT，由主唱 Luke、吉他手 Sam、贝斯手 Ollie 和鼓手 Dan 组成。来自特伦特河畔的斯托克城，我们是一支可能不如你预期的朋克乐队，之前以 Heave 为名。我们几个成员以前都在不同的乐队但也在本地的硬核场景里存在了不少时间，最终大家决定一起开启一个新项目，因为我们都非常喜欢表演又燥又噪的朋克音乐。
Hey! we are HEAD DENT, comprising of Luke [vocals], Sam [Guitar], Ollie [Bass] and Dan [Drums]. We are a no logos on the foam punk band from Stoke-on-Trent, previously known as Heave. We've all previously played in other bands and been part of the local hardcore scene together for a long time and eventually we decided we wanted to start another project together as the four of us with a mutual desire to play loud, noisy punk songs.
UPEE：可以分享乐队平时是如何相处，无论是在创作、排练或现场时？你们是如何一起创作出《THE DENT》？

We've all been friends and played together in the local scene for a long time so we get on really well and we're on the same wave-length when it comes to what kind of music we want to make and how we want to do things. Playing in a band together feels very natural. Our approach to making music has changed a bit since we started, in the beginning we were trying to figure out what our sound is and had a tendency to overthink things but we got to a point where we can write very quickly and trust our gut instinct and just go with it. For 'The Dent' we travelled to Bradford to work with Tom and Ross at Hohm Recording Studio. We pretty much had the songs all worked out before we got there and spent a week with them tracking and trying our best to capture the live energy of the band. We wanted to work with someone who was on the same page as us in terms of the music we like and the type of music we want to make. We were all fans of the other records that Tom and Ross had worked on before and knew that they'd be a good fit for us, they were really easy to work with and we love what they did with the tracks.
UPEE：作为乐队首张 EP，你们期待《THE DENT》能给乐迷留下什么样的第一印象？
HEAD DENT：我们觉得这张首发作品只是一次初步的对 HEAD DENT 的介绍。我们已经开始着手下一张作品了，有很多新歌正在筹备，为此我们都很兴奋。在我们一起写歌的这段时间里，我们的创作变得更好、更专注，感觉我们抓住了可以让我们不同的能量和冲击力。我们的新歌会比之前的更好，更有冲击力。
We think of this debut release as just a first taste of what Head Dent is about. We are already working towards our next release with a heap of new songs in the pipeline that we are really excited about. Over the time we've been together our song writing is getting even better and more focused and we feel that we've latched onto the high energy and impact that makes us stick out. Our new songs are another big step up and hit even harder than the last.
UPEE：在先前发布的《Dirt》的录影带中，充满动态感的剪切风格，俯拍视角，以及类似于车库的布景让我想起很多 90 年代摇滚音乐人的视觉表达。除此之外还有那个带有怪异感的娃娃头套，你们想通过这支录影带传达什么样的信息？
HEAD DENT：做这支 MV 的目的就是简单而高效地展示我们在现场可以呈现的的能量。我们希望不仅能吸引人们观看我们的演出，还能鼓励他们走出去体验现场的音乐，并更多地参与到当地的音乐活动中来。我们在音乐和录影带中注入的能量反映了演出对我们个人的影响，如果能鼓励人们亲身体验，我们就会觉得已经达到了目标。
Our aim with the music video was to stay simple but effective and to showcase the energy we deliver at live shows. The hope was not only to bring people to our shows but to encourage them to go out and experience live music and be more involved in their local scene. The energy that we put into our music and videos reflects the impact that shows have had on us personally and if we can encourage people to experience that for themselves then we'll feel that we have achieved our goal.
UPEE：除了《Dirt》，HEAD DENT 此前的《Can't Turn It Off》和《Hungover》两支录影带也具有一些 Lofi 创意，作为一支硬核/朋克乐队，你们觉得视觉在你们的表达之中占有什么样的位置，这些录影带的灵感又是从何而来？

For us making music videos is just another outlet for us to express our creativity, personality and sense of humour. Usually it begins with imagining some funny scenario and eventually it becomes a fully formed idea. Ultimately we do it because it's fun and we enjoy making them. We very much have a DIY ethos and our videos very much reflect this. We love working with like-minded creatives such as our great friends in Velvet Orange Media who get what we're all about and help see our vision come to fruition. Despite our videos all being very different there's definitely been a consistent theme of trying to capture our raw energy and intensity, which is very important to us to convey to people who haven't seen us live yet.
UPEE：在未来，还有什么期待尝试的内容吗，无论是音乐创作或其它层面的？
HEAD DENT：我们都是观点很开放的人并且一直都在期待可以让自己的创意更进一步，我们非常兴奋可以与世界分享我们正在做的事情。《THE DENT》对我们来说只是一个开始，我们希望可以把所有人都带进之后的旅程。不能停下也不会停下。
We're all very open-minded people and are always looking to push our creativity forward. We're super excited to share what we've been working on with the world. 'The Dent' is just the beginning for us and we hope to take everyone along for the ride. Can't stop won't stop baby.
